Shannon’s journey into the world of beauty and self-care began during one of the most transformative chapters of her life. At a crossroads—transitioning from a married mother in a blended family to a single mom of two—she found herself in a place of deep uncertainty. One thing, however, was crystal clear: she needed a career that offered not just stability, but freedom. A path that allowed her to fully show up for her children without sacrificing her own dreams. For her, entrepreneurship wasn’t just an option—it was the only way.

With that vision in her heart, she enrolled in beauty school in California. It was there that she met Myra, a veteran sugarist that came to demonstrate the luxury and technique of sugaring—and everything changed. Sugaring was unlike anything she had experienced before: gentle, holistic, and deeply rooted in personal care. She fell in love instantly. It became more than just a service; it became a calling.

Shortly after graduating—right in the midst of the global pandemic—she packed up everything and relocated to Arizona. Emotionally fragile but determined, she started over. Not long after moving, she met a wonderful man who loved, encouraged, and supported her, even at her lowest. With his support, she found the motivation to keep chasing her dream of becoming a licensed esthetician. The journey wasn’t easy, but each challenge helped shape the foundation of what she now calls her purpose.

Today, she’s created more than just a space for hair removal. Her studio is a sanctuary—a safe haven where women from all walks of life are not only seen but truly felt. It’s a space where beauty is honored, stories are shared, and vulnerability is embraced. Every appointment is a chance to reconnect, release, and rise a little taller.

She builds confidence through sugaring, one Brazilian at a time. But more than that, she helps women rediscover their light—because when you feel good in your skin, everything else follows.

In 2013 we established our company, UrPhoneGuy LLC (UPG), during a recession in a booming Mobile Economy with the realization that there was a need. A need to pull small businesses together and reconnect more with not only one another but with the clients we serve, we believe Mobile Business Applications will take us there. Our teams goal is to show you just how we can make this happen, while building relationships to last a lifetime.
