Karla Pingle Stephens is the proud owner of KarMa Day Spa and a passionate Guru Educator based in Grants Pass, Oregon.
After nearly 30 years in the IT and software industry, Karla made the bold decision to pursue a completely new path. She stepped away from her corporate career, took time to support her husband's business, and ultimately followed her heart into the world of esthetics. In February 2021, after completing esthetics school during the height of the pandemic, she became a licensed esthetician and hasn’t looked back since.
While epilation wasn’t initially on her radar—especially given her dislike for waxing—Karla knew she needed to expand her skill set as a new esthi. She gave sugaring a shot, and despite a tough start and months of frustration, she pushed through. With the help of a much-needed refresher course, everything finally clicked. That transformative experience inspired her to become an educator herself, helping new sugaring professionals overcome the same challenges with more confidence and support.
Karla is a proud mom to two amazing adult children and has been happily married for many years. When she’s not empowering others in the treatment room or classroom, you’ll likely find her playing volleyball, hitting the road on spontaneous adventures, curled up with a good book, or enjoying ranch life with her beloved dogs and horses
