Chelsea, a veteran from San Antonio, Texas, made a bold career shift in 2019 after more than 10 years in a government position. Driven by her passion for skincare, which had started when she was 13 and using her babysitting money for products, Chelsea transitioned into the beauty industry.

Her journey into sugaring began in 2014 when colleagues introduced her to it, and she quickly became hooked. After being a loyal sugaring client for years, she was encouraged by her sugarist to pursue a career in esthetics. Chelsea enrolled at Ogle School in San Antonio and graduated in 2020 while also earning her sugaring certification. Soon after, she was hired by the company that certified her in sugaring.

In 2021, Chelsea opened Bella by Chela LLC, where she specializes in sugaring, lash lifts/tints, eyelash extensions, and more. Her passion for sugaring comes from her personal experience as someone who doesn’t tolerate wax well, and she was determined to find a more holistic alternative to traditional hair removal methods. Chelsea has even conducted several sugaring demos at Ogle School at the request of her previous educators. Through Bella by Chela, she continues to share the sugar love and help others elevate their service menus and treatment rooms.
